See how cute I am:)
My own personal babydoll! How fun it is to dress her each morning. Sometimes I secretly hope she will spit up on herself so I can pick another outfit to put her in!
What a face! I think she is saying, "Mom, I think you took enough pictures of me."She really reminds me of her Uncle Bri in this shot! Thanks for the cute dress Aunt Mara! And the head wrap is from your mom! It matches so nicely:)
Timber!!! Going, going...
GONE!
These are our FAVORITE stretch pants! I changed the head band because the first one was too small...well we realized this one was a little big after a quiet car ride home. She was sound asleep! Haha:)
This is Becky singing "LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA, LA" to the tune of Canon D. For some reason this is the only thing that calms a very fussy Lily Bella between the hours of 6-8pm most every night:) In the background you can see the Florida gators on top of the LSU Tigers. Daddy was not very happy that night!
Our evening ritual... Usually around 8:30pm we head to the bath! That is, unless Canon D does not calm the baby for some reason in which case bathtime may come early. As soon as Lily hears the water she is the happiest baby on the block! Bathtime is her FAVORITE time of day!
Check out my new trick. I can put my whole fist in my mouth! Daddy says I get my big mouth from my mommy because she too can perform this trick:)
I am working on fitting BOTH fists in there! Maybe when I get to be 3 months...stay tuned:)
I wish bathtime could last forever! I am not happy when daddy and mommy take me out of my beloved tub.

Baby Feet
How would you feel if someone was taking picture after picture of your feet, holding them in their hands and gawking over how very cute they are? How about if you got claps and cheers for passing gas and burping! Hahaha:) We were at the Wednesday night Bible study at church this week and all the ladies were praying together before we got started. Lily was with me and was quietly resting in my arms through the entire prayer. As soon as we said "Amen" she proudly let out a loud BURP! Perfect timing, Lily! Everyone cheered! Babies are so special and I think they bring out a side of people that we don't often see. Maybe because it is such a miracle and a gift from God to see this new little life grow right before our eyes. This little person has no worries or concerns, no bills to pay, no job to attend to, no relationships that need restored. How refreshing it is to hang out with a baby! She has no bad news to tell you. She is not concerned about the economy or global warming or gas prices! A baby has complete trust in her parents to take care of her every need. This is how God wants us to trust in Him. "I will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in Me" says the Lord in Isaiah 26:3.
Don't be fooled! They look like shoes but they are really just my socks:)

Cute little booties! Lily's feet are not growing nearly as fast as her cheeks! She is still in size zero shoes!

Up and running again...
October 7th, 8 o'clock in the morning, 81 degrees and sunny....how I love Pensacola Florida!
For some reason when my physical wheels (my legs) start turning, the wheels of my mind and spirit begin to turn as well. I just got back from my first successful attempt to run since the baby came. Boy did it feel good! I was reminded of how the Lord promises to never leave nor forsake His children. My body and my ability to run was still there waiting for me to return to it. Though I am fully aware that this will not always be the case, it felt like I had never stopped running. Now don't get me wrong...it was challenging and a good reminder that consistency in training is so important, but I was so glad that my ability and love for running had not disappeared. The big difference is that the Lord and His promises are eternal and unchanging, whereas our physical bodies will grow weary and pass away. As I ran through the thick humid air and enjoyed the scenery of trees and clouds and dragonflies, I remembered the first verse in the Bible..."In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth". Wow. If you really think about that verse it is just so incomprehensible. God made the heavens, the earth, and everything in them including you and me. Why do I even try to make sense of it? Who am I to think that I could even begin to understand the mind of God when I am simply something that He created. I am nothing more than clay in the Potter's hands. Why as humans do we feel the need to wrap our finite little minds around things and if we don't understand something we try to change it so that it makes sense to us. God's Word is truth. But because He left certain things too great for us to fully understand, we reject the truth and make up a lie. Isn't there immense comfort in knowing that someone (God) knows WAY more than I do and that my life is in the palm of His hand? What a relief! But daily we try to take control of our own lives and do things the way that we see fit. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death". Thank you God for the mercy that you have on my family - not because of anything we have done, simply because you are God.

I'm growing up!
2 1/2 months old...Lily is now cooing and smiling and best of all she is sleeping through the night! She sleeps beautifully from 9pm to 5am! She is eating well and growing FAST! Currently she is working on perfecting her double chin:) We have been having frequent photo shoots because I am afraid I will only get to see her once or twice in some of these oh-so-cute outfits! She had her first swim in our friends' pool last week. We were pretty sure she was going to love it considering that bath time is her favorite time of day and she screams when you take her out of her beloved tub! She is a little fish.
